Crim Fitness Foundation, Not the Same Old Crim

Christina Ferris has nearly 30 years of marketing and development experience. She had the privilege of spending 18 years as the marketing director at the Flint Institute of Music where she was responsible for marketing and public relations for the Flint Symphony, Flint School of Performing Arts and Flint Youth Theater. Christina also enjoyed freelance writing for the C.S. Mott Foundation, covering civil society and environment. After moving away from the area in 2009, she returned to consult with and write for organizations like My Brother's Keeper, Family Service Agency and the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. After moving to Ann Arbor, she was development director for Arbor Hospice, where she raised more than $238,000 at the organization's 30th anniversary fundraiser. In 2015, a call from a friend at the Crim Fitness Foundation led her back to the area to assume the role as the organization's first development director where she has been working for the past three years to educate the community about the Crim's broadening impact and service and build support for that work. She currently resides in Whitmore Lake.
