For their monthly service project for August, Flint Rotarians joined the Flint River Watershed Coalition's Drain Stenciling efforts. This activity supports essential community education about our storm drain systems.

Water leaving homes and businesses that are connected to our sewer systems will be treated at a wastewater treatment facility. Water that enters our storm drain system via runoff goes directly to the river— without treatment. This means that it's essential that storm drains are not used for dumping or disposal; otherwise, we end up with unwanted and unneeded contaminants entering the watershed.
